AFTER three consecutive Cage Warriors victories in the last year, Andreas ‘Big Daddy’ Kraniotakes (13-5-0) finally gets a shot at the vacant CWFC heavyweight title tomorrow night.

Kraniotakes takes on Mike ‘300’ Hayes (16-4-1) at Fight Night 4 in Dubai and the 30-year-old German is determined to make the most of an opportunity he’s certainly earned, following first round victories over Jay Mortimore, Dave Keeley and Dmitry Poberezhets.

“This chance to fight for the heavyweight crown is what I’ve always wanted,” said Kraniotakes. “But I’ve also always wanted to earn that shot and I think that’s what I’ve done.

“Winning this title would make me very happy. You have to understand that I put everything I have into this career. I mean I’m literally living in the gym, spending all my money and time on traveling in order to find the best training out there.

“And last but not least I have to miss my loved ones for a big part of the year in order to be able to do all that. This belt would show me – and them – that it’s all worth the effort.”

Hayes has predicted that he’ll take the belt back to Washington, USA via a first round KO, but Kraniotakes is also confident. He said: “It’s really hard to predict MMA fights, especially when you’re involved yourself.

“I see why he thinks the fight will end like that. I will surely try to prevent him from doing so and I really hope he believes in his own prediction, because that would mean that he underestimates me. What else could I ask for?”
