Holloway fills in for an injured Ogle against McGregor

UFC officials today announced that Max Holloway (7-2) has stepped in for an injured Andy Ogle (9-2) and will face Conor McGregor (13-2) in a featherweight showdown at UFC on Fox Sports 11.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 1 takes place Aug. 17 at TD Garden in Boston and will be the UFC’s debut on the new FOX Sports 1 cable network.

Holloway is coming off a split-decision loss to Dennis Bermudez at May’s UFC 160 event. That fight snapped a three-fight win streak.

McGregor is riding a nine-fight win streak with nine stoppages, including seven in the first round.

Sweet. I like that they keep this kid active. I enjoy his fights. Great prospect, lots of potential.

this should be a good one. but, i see conor taking it in the end

  3. MJ says:

I see Conor taking this but Max is a beast and definitely ain’t no slouch. Will be much better of a fight than if Andy Ogle had fought him.
