Hector Lombard Responds To Palhares Failed Drug Screening | UFC NEWS

In the fantastic sport of Mixed Martial Arts, it is not uncommon to see athletes with a killer instinct and drive. Sometimes the mentality of a cage fighter is that of kill or be killed.

In the lead up to the Lombard versus Palhares fight, the leg lock specialist in Rousimar went on record to say that he intended on breaking the leg of Lombard.

When the two middleweights faced off recently in Australia, the bout played out in a completely different fashion. In fact, not only did Rousimar suffer a first round defeat, but he himself broke his foot in the process.

Fast forward to present date and it was announced just a few short days ago that Rousimar Palhares was suspended for nine-months after testing positive for elevated testosterone in his system.

Hector Lombard took to with his reaction:

“Well, my response is like he needs to be a better person on the inside. You know? I think that the guy, something really wrong happened to him. You know? He needs to be a better person, inside and out. I say stuff about him, because he made the comment that he was going to break my leg regardless if I would have tapped or not. I don’t know what’s wrong with that guy. And now that happened to him. I mean, he’s a cheater. What else can I say? I never had respect for him from the beginning anyway. How can I have respect for a guy that intentionally breaks peoples’ legs. I cannot have respect for that guy. I think that he is a shame for the sport. The sport needs to clean up from people like him. I think that he needs to go and fight people in the street or something. This is a professional sport where you need discipline and you need to be a professional. Guys like that are bad for the UFC. They are bad for the sport. Shame on him.”

  3. 123 says:

its obvious he does or did though

    • joec says:

oh it’s obvious is it? Because the dudes ripped he must be on steroids.
Forget the fact he was a world ranked judoka, a sport for which upper body strength is essential. Forget the fact that he lives in Australia, and we don’t need that shit… we’re tough cunts as is!!
You can just look at a picture of a guy and just know he’s jucing. Fuck VADA lets just get this guy to screen athletes by looking at them.

  4. Tincat says:

Ya 123, it’s not that he’s a former Olympian who’s trained at the highest levels all his life, using the best training methodology, and has a strict diet.

Can’t be that. Must be the ‘stuff’ he hasn’t tested positive for…..

    • Brian says:

No really Timcat, it cannot be just that, lol. If you can’t see that you don’t have a history of training for mass and size. Our bodies can only go so far naturally and its not where Lombard is at. Good on him for not being caught but to he just keep the crap talking to himself because he is a user no doubt.

      • Jaedr says:

he’s not even that big he fights at 185 you don’t need roids to get there ya retard.

        • Brian says:

Not even that big? are you well? Do I need to pull out the pics of him training with Polish powerlifter turned MMA fighter? It’s not about weight, he’s a midget and undergoes massive weight cuts to fight at 185.

      • Sasquatch says:

Innocent until proven guilty. I grew up with a couple of guys like him who were built like brick sh!t houses and there’s no fricken way they were “juicing”… it’s called genetics so stop being jealous.

        • Brian says:

Oh god, I dropped desiring to have those ballooned up useless muscles about a decade ago. There is more than genetics there, u will most likely see that one day when he fails his drug test.

      • Tincat says:

        Hi Brian,

Actually I’m a personal trainer and have experience training and working out with bodybuilders both who are natural and those using ped’s.

I also train combat sports and again train with all sorts of bodytypes.

In my experience, I’ve met plenty of guys who have that short stocky build and similar ethnicity to Hector, and they have the same heavy set musculature.

        • Brian says:

I used to personal train as well and never in my life have I seen a natural competitor with that kind of size and musculature.

Be careful what you say, Karma will bite you in the ass!
