Guillard: No Way Cerrone Beats Me | UFC NEWS

“Things could be entirely different at this stage in my life, if I hadn’t beaten Camoes at UFC 148, who knows where I would be right now. Instead, I’m co-headlining a UFC pay-per-view for Mr. Lorenzo and Mr. Dana and all the fans, and in a fight that I think will be the Fight of Night.

There is no way that Cerrone can beat me, because for the first time ever, I will be fighting at my full potential. I can’t wait for Denver. I want the fight to be this weekend. I’m already in shape and in my mind, and in strategy sessions with my coaches, I’ve already won the fight ten different ways.”

UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard gives his thoughts on his next booking at UFC 150 against Donald Cerrone.

Confident as ever, is he correct in his assesment?

Fix, Assesment= Assessment, before more ppl notice, Thank you!

    • CALI says:

Donald will batter Guillard wherever this fight goes… He’ll get the better of him standing up, drag him to the ground, and submit him like the rest of em…

  2. mean170 says:

A dialed in Cerrone will cause Guillard a lot of problems. I got Cerrone beating him on the feet and then submitting him.

  3. Somedude says:

I expect Guillard to win this one. His speed and knockout power always gives his opponents a hard time.

  4. MORON KILLER says:

well we will see who wins.

  5. larris says:

    cerrano will fuck him up

  6. larris says:

cerrano will fuck him up bad

  7. CanILive says:

wow lol ” mr lorezo and Mr dana? lmao

  8. bdizz says:

I’m thinking If Donald can take it to the ground it’s all over for Melvin.

  9. Klaus Steele says:

Cerrone’s striking is some of the best in the division. I think he will keep it on the feet and frustrate Guillard with combo’s. Guillard will most likely try some takedowns, and eventually gain one. Guillard will then be on the receiving end of a nice triangle/armbar combo.

Cerrone def. Guillard by sub in second round.

    • Mike says:

He will keep it standing long as possible especially with cerrones ground game! If it goes to the ground guillard will get subbed like always, but he got every chance if it stays standing brother!

  10. B-rad says:

Gettin dropped and choked out in 40 seconds didnt humble him, nothing ever will..

    • danielrchargers says:

he didnt get dropped. he was staggered and tripped over himself. ran into a jabber.
getting dropped is Condit vs Hardy.

      • B-rad says:

it was a short lead hook, his eyes faded and fell down.. If it was boxing or kickboxing thats a 10-8 so yeah, he got “lost his balance due to the force of the punch” is that better?

      • B-rad says:

But thats not the point i was making, the point is he got humiliated by someone he grossly underestimated. and i loved every second of it. But it still did not humble him, not one bit!

  11. WrestlingRules says:

Cerrone will become a wrestler in this one. He’ll look to take him and down and bjj him once he gets tagged by Guillard. Cerrone won’t stand and bang with him. If he does he will lose. I see Cerrone taking him down and choking him out in rd3…Guillard better be ready for some defense or he’s done.

  12. Nick says:

I like Melvin, but don’t see him winning this one 9 times out of 10. Cerrone is a better striker and has an excellent ground game. Guillard has more KO power probably, but Cerrone has an iron chin.

  13. stephen riddle says:

Melvin has bumped his damn head!

  14. SinCe2004 says:

Right off the bat one should figure Guillard got this but with all his inconsistencies who knows,, Cerrone is underrated though, every time I actually see this guy fight I gain respect for him.

  15. Bob says:

You have to be a stupid fucking idiot to think Melvin will pull this one off.. Melvin is a retarded fighter. Whats the point of having all that speed and explosiveness if your brain is the size of a peanut?

Melvin will lose his way out of UFC. Dana quit giving this crackhead a ton of chances dick head.

  16. Iceman says:

    Yes way…Melvin

  17. Doc9 says:

Melvin Guillard is the Zab Judah of MMA. Blessed with 10 times the speed, athleticism and physicality of most fighters but cursed with a much smaller brain.

  18. stephen riddle says:

Its like the same fight over and over etc. I dont want to see this dude fight again and have joe rogan brag about him before he loses!

  19. DIck Diaz says:

lol yup, there is absolutely “NO WAY” that cerrone will be able to beat you… not…

  20. ry tay says:

this site has some of the most pathetic comments in all of the mma sites i go to. shame

  21. Adam says:

Melvin is going to drop him in 30 seconds…and then get choked out in 35 seconds after he tries to follow to the ground.

  22. what. says:

Hope Melvin gets sent to strikeforce after he gets whooped by cowboy. He talks his skills up so much and fights like shit.

  23. Zach Rusk says:

Cowboy by TKO, Melvin will gas hard in that thin ass air.
