Guaranteed Fireworks Set For UFC on FOX 3 | Pat Barry vs. Lavar Johnson Booked For Main Card

The UFC would appear to be dead set on making sure their third event on FOX TV will deliver fireworks.

In the latest booking confirmed by UFC officials, heavyweight strikers Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson will appear on the main card of the UFC on FOX 3 event.

UFC on FOX 3 is set to take place in New Jersey from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford on May 5. In the main event lightweights Nate Diaz and Jim Miller will throw down in a five-round non-title fight.

Both heavyweights are coming off of UFC victories that took place in January.

Most recently Johnson was seen taking out the always tough and very durable Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran via first round knockout during the UFC on FOX 2 preliminary card. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak and introduced the UFC audience to the dynamite Lavar carries around in his hands.

Barry also just snapped a two-fight skid when he knocked out Christian Morecraft during last month’s UFC on FX main card. Prior to the Morecraft victory he had dropped entertaining fights to Stefan Struve and Cheick Kongo.

Somebody’s gonna get hurt that night!

I didn’t see Lavar’s last fight but Pat Barry knows how to put people to sleep. If Lavar is a straight up striker then he will be put to sleep in the Octagon.
