VIDEO: GSP on CNN’s Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien
UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre appeared on CNN’s Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien yesterday morning.
GSP shared the views of fellow well respected MMA personality, Bas Rutten when it comes to the bullying problem that faces so many kids today. “Rush” told Soledad O’Brien that the reason he got into martial arts was due to being bullied, and that MMA was his solution to this problem.
This was one of many media stops St. Pierre has been making in an attempt to help sponsor the New York MMA legislation. GSP transitions from the topic of bullying to fighting with the O’Brien and guests, and it seems that they are stuck in the in 1990’s concerning MMA. They asked if UFC was staged, and how violent the sport really is. GSP handled the questions very well as a great ambassador for the sport would, and does MMA justice on a national broadcast.
