GSP: ‘I would fight Anderson Silva, even Brock Lesnar’

Former UFC welterweight king Georges St-Pierre walked away from the sport of MMA recently after his controversial decision victory over Johnny Hendricks back in November.

The former champ took some time with Brazilian Media outlet SportTV.Globo to shed some light on where Georges is at about his possible eventual return to MMA.

Georges was asked about a potential “super fight” with Anderson Silva upon his return. The question that has been lingering on fight fans’ minds for sometime now. Even more so considering Anderson still has some time to recover before he entertains the idea of fighting again. By the time Anderson is up and ready maybe Georges will be down for the bout.

To prove that it’s more about the challenge and less about the title the former champ even through out the idea of throwing down with former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. In a fair fight of course.

“There’s always a possibility,” said Georges. “I would fight Anderson Silva. I would even fight Brock Lesnar if it’s a fair fight for both. I’m not afraid of anyone, but I’m not stupid.” Georges said amusedly.

A fair fight for both? So Brock would have to not wrestle and tie his right hand behind his back, as well as his left leg. I would fight Brock if it was a fair fight too. give me a break…

  2. Gargoyle Wrestling says:

LOL…Lesnar at catchweight of 180!!! yah, once Lesnar dies, I’ll kick his ass – GSP…Man has this guy gone off the deep end. His mental breakdown is still not getting better.

  3. The natural says:

Gsp vs nick Diaz 2 for bellator middleweight strap. Let’s all make the switch

  4. Chris Stroup says:

I’m so sick of a bunch of you no nothings commenting on GSP and not showing up or finishing fights. Do any of you even know how a fight is scored? At first I thought Hendricks beat GSP, then both me and a friend rewatched the fight and scored every round ourselves. The outcome was just the same as the judges GSP 3 rounds and Hendricks 2 rounds. If Hendricks had actually fought every round he may have won, or got his butt knocked out or submitted!!

  5. seminalcacti says:

GSP lies just as good as he does grinding out a boring win in mma. GSP had all the excuses in the world when he was first asked about fighting Silva years ago. Ironic how as soon as he “retires” that he’s suddenly open to the idea of fighting even Lesnar? WTF.
