Grove vs. Silva Set for October 14th

Former UFC middleweights Kendall Grove and Jay Silva have been slotted to face off at theScore Fighting Series on Oct. 14 at the Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Kendall Grove (13-9) had hit a very rough patch in his career but was able to snap a two-fight losing streak by choking out Joe Riggs at the ProElite event held in Hawaii last month. The Ultimate Fighter 3 champion has seen his career go up and down since winning the show. He was recently cut by the UFC and had to decide how to right his career back on the winning track. His victory over Riggs has given him a little bit of momentum to work with and another win over Silva on October 14th could be just the thing to get him back to his form of old.
But getting past Silva will be no easy task for Grove. After back-to-back decision losses to Chris Leben and CB Dollaway, Silva (7-4) was released from the UFC roster and then was immediately picked up by Bellator. There he was promptly pasted by middleweight champion Hector Lombard.
Since then Silva has posted two wins in a row and will look to ride that momentum into his fight with Grove. A third straight win could place Silva’s name back into the list of upper echelon fighters. However, Grove is thinking the same thing for himself.
The two will face each other at theScore Figthing Series and will both be looking for big wins in a big way. So who are the fans taking in this bout? Let’s hear some opinions!
