In this sport, there are many facets of skill & knowledge. Your opponent is doing everything possible to hurt you and make you lose. If it were illegal to cut weight that would be one thing. I definately think people should not use diuretics, as that is illegal. It is more common than not for people to do it. And more importantly, you will wish you did when you meet up with an opponent that has. I would never suggest cutting to the point of being lethargic for a fight, but at the same time, be wise and utilize every legal and fair facet to your advantage. I respect everyones comment and hope my comment is digested with an un-biased mind.

Weight cutting is to this sport, what it is to every sport: $%&T! If an athlete has to cut more than 3kg/7lbs to make weight,he/she needs to effectively be in another weight class. What I'm saying is: Don't be a coward and try to cut a bunch o'pounds,so you'll be strong in a weight class you don't trully belong in.You see it with fighters that Dry-out to make weight, and then show up heavy as Heck for the fight, and take a Fine! Folks, that's called cheating...And,no disrepect intended, dude, but you are Not short for your weight...You're Heavy for your Height...I don't know your BMI.But,If it's mostly muscle, you will lose tons of strength along with the weight. So 'Chin-Down',and Man-Up!..But,if it's fat...You're right to lose it.Anyway,Do what y'all Do...I'm jus'sayin'.

cutting weight sometimes is a must , but I do agree with your comment .I am a fighter that is trying to cut weight but I'm 5 '7 210lbs and I'm trying to get to 170 . But like I said I'm 5'7 which is pretty short for my weight

I think it's a very weak approach to convincing the world your the best. "Yeah I'm 6'2 220 but I'm the 155lb Title holder" I mean WTF people? Just my opinion, what's yours?
