BODY, MIND, SPIRIT

Martial Arts and life are about more than building the body. It's a balance of body, mind and spirit. I'd like this to be a forum for people to express and contribute to building the spirit and the mind.

Hey guys haven't forgotten you. This group started before there was any group contest so let's make it live on. Sorry I've not been writing. Less than 3wks til finals and everything is due at once plus I'm not very "at peace" because I quit smoking Sunday night. Will make time as soon as I can. Future possible topics: Religion vs. Spirituality; Finding and working w/ chi and third eye chakras.

Hi guys - I joined a few days ago. I've been practicing Zen Buddhism for about 6-7 years. Before that, I'd say I was just reading about for 15 years or so. One of the big challenges is to bring my practice to all areas of my life. Another is just trying to get up early enough to mediate daily. Sleep just feels too good in the morning! But the benefits are real, though they take a while and it takes work. But nothing good comes easy!

Before getting deep into MMA i was (am) a Ba Gua Circle walker. The hours spent on the expressive movements and moving Chi gong bring a great sence of (chi); through conection of mind and movement one can feel a true connection with the energy around us. I'm glad there are others who also search for inner peace. Enjoy finding that one thing that drives you . "its not the place it's what you learned getting there".

I use chi a lot and will definetly be able to write on it. The method I currently use it in is Japanese in origin and called "Kei." Same word and concept, just a different language. The english definition would be "Lifeforce"
