Glover Teixeira Willing To Fight Anyone Except For Lyoto Machida | UFC News

Glover Teixeira in an interview with Tapout Radio.
Teixeira who defeated Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146 via arm triangle earning himself the submission of the night bonus comments on who he would like to face next. Teixeira is willing to face anyone in the division apart from his friend and former training partner Lyoto Machida.
“In the UFC, it’s about names. Every fight is hard, and everybody knows all the disciplines. Some might know more than others. You just see the big names. Some guys that are just starting out might fight better than the big name guys. I really don’t care. I just want to prove to myself and to the fans that I deserve to be in the UFC. I’ll fight whoever they give me. A big name would be better, because it will give me a jump in my career, but it’s not something I’m actively looking for. It’s whatever comes. Right now, the one I wouldn’t want to fight is Lyoto Machida. I’ve trained with him, I help him out and he’s a great guy. I just arrived in the UFC, and I’m not really in a situation to say no. Whatever they tell me to do, I’ll do, but if I could have a say, Lyoto would be the one I wouldn’t want to fight.”

I think Glover should face someone like Stephan Bonnar or Ryan Bader or somebody of that caliber
Bonner would be perfect.

I say he should take on guys like Pokrajac, Nedkov, or Perosh if he wants to start building a name for himself. These guys are starting to make a name for themselves, what better way to establish yourself for bigger and better fights, than to eliminate the up and comers. If he can finish these guys, there’s Rua, Bader, and Gustafsson. I don’t think Bonnar would fair well with Teixeira. People have to understand, Glover isn’t some “new” guy coming on to the scene. This guy has been around a very long time. He’s undefeated since 2006. When he was with WEC, when WEC still had a LW division. If this was the first time you’ve heard or seen this guy fight, you should check out his other fights.
Machida james tehuna and hendo are my favorite fighters in lhw division. I hope machida can come back with a vengence. I think machida has the best chance of beating jones
Does anyone that writes for this site actually read it before posting? And do they even watch the UFC or any other promotions?
Texiera did NOT win a submission of the night bonus. Paul Sass & Stefan Struve, however, were both winners of said bonus.
This is not the most egregious oversight, but shows a lack of care in one’s work; it further illustrates that a solid smartphone application is being underutilized by individuals with little journalistic skill or integrity.

What is with MMA fans that when they see a fighter win they get exited and think they deserve a title fight or a big name,in my opinion.anybody who comes in to the ufc need to fight cupple times before,this guy has being around for some time and have not lose in cupple years but he hasn’t fight anybody relevant.
