Gina Carano Lands Roll In Female Version Of Expendables | MMA NEWS

Popular female MMA fighter turned Hollywood starlet, Gina Carano, has reportedly landed herself another leading roll on the big screen.

Described as the “female version of the expendables” Carano is the first actress cast for the yet to be filmed movie project.

Popular Hollywood publication, Variety, leaked the information last week and recently got a clip from the film’s producer, Adi Shankar.

Here is what Shankar said about the film and Carano as one of the leads:

“I don’t know how I’m supposed to make a movie that is supposed to be the female version of ‘The Expendables’ without Gina Carano in it. It would be like making Twix without caramel or Jamba Juice without jamba.”

The Expendables featured many old action stars working together when they may not have had the opportunity in the past. A female version should include all the old female action stars like Grace Jones, Tina Turner, Brigitte Nielsen, Cynthia Rothrock, Sigourney Weaver, Pam Grier, etc.

What the hell man. You list Tina Turner from what… Thunderdome? What about the likes of Michelle Yeoh or Zhang Ziyi?

This is like Expendables ignoring Jackie Chan all over again.
