Last weekend at UFC 153 Demian Maia put a stamp on his welterweight aspirations by taking out Rick Story in the very first round of action.

For those who missed it, the stats on this fight only tell the partial story.

After securing his opponent to the ground the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu master threw on a rear naked choke for the ages.

    Demain is back to his old self. He kind of lost his identity after the Anderson fight. He started to do things outside of his talents. This Demian we saw Saturday is the Demian that would be a top competitor in any weight class. I would love to see him and Jon Fitch go at it because both have great grappling.
