.gif | Did Johny Hendricks Tap Out To GSP In The 1st?

During the first minute of their UFC 167 main event, Champion Georges St-Pierre was able to secure a takedown and during a scramble many people feel they caught Johny Hendricks tapping out to a choke attempt.

I don’t feel this is the case, but we leave it to you guys to decide.

  1. Night-Wind says:

BS. Why would he even tap to that, it wasn’t a full choke or even close.

    • T.Daddy says:

My point exactly… Hendricks was trying to get up and when the so called “tap” happened they were already standing up… Hendricks is the champ

    • zack says:

oh theres reason to tap to that. Its more off a neck crank it feels like your back is going to snap. My teacher had me in one of those last weekend trust me it doesnt feel good BUT i dont think hendricks tapped.

    • Nick says:

But even without it being your so called “full choke” there was a lot of added presure which could cause it to hurt a lot worse or even cause a submission.

  2. MMAdro says:

Delusional GSP nuthuggers grasping for straws is all this is.

  3. magoo says:

123 he tapped, the only dillusional ones are the ones that say he didn’t!

  4. mmabrasil says:

Here’s something for everyone to think about. As far a the UFC making money GSP winning the controversial decision is the best thing that could have happened. 1.The rematch will be a bigger draw then the first fight. 2.Had GSP ko’d J.H. or won big I think GSP retires. 3.Had J.H. won what fight what match up would even come close to as big a draw in terms of PPV. So I.M.O rematch win or lose GSP retires.

  5. UFC 84 Forever says:

I have a feeling it’s one of those fake taps to try and get someone to release the hold, because it is a tap. But it’s not a tap because he’s submitting, I believe he’s doing what I refer to as the “Team Quest Tap” basically it’s a fake tap.

  6. pk9grrr says:

i reckon he was feeling for change for a can of coke later

  7. vincenzo says:

he was creating space dumbasses, on another note JH was too strong for GSP, and it is weird because GSP was clearly the stronger between him and carlos and carlos didn’t seem to be weaker than johny……………my point is is gsp of the juice or what

  8. GRT 3000 says:

GSP was disoriented for this fight and clearly not himself. I thought he looked awkward even at the weigh-ins and you could clearly see he wasn’t relaxed when he stepped in the cage. I hope he gets his personal affairs in order so he can go out there and beat Goofy-Nut Hendricks in convincing form next time.

  9. Bruce Lee says:

pretty sure Hendricks is just a beast look at all his other wins GSP off the juice who knows who cares JH won the fight he won rounds 1,2,4. GSP 3 and 5, his 3rd round only because he outscored hendricks with strikes a weak jab that was insignificant.
The judges are useless. As for the tap that was no tap JH was trying to improve his position simple as that, GSP nut-hugger’s go home JH next champ for sure he was graceful in defeat too good on you John Hendricks much respect.

  10. science geek says:

And people wonder why the world is falling to crap. If you muscle heads spent half the time studing and learning instead of falling into the hype crap we would alrdy be exploring deep space. Oh and I am also a trained bada**.

  11. maddkillah says:

i’m a GSP fan but come on! seriously?! how could anyone say its a tap?

  12. The Authority says:

    Brazilian tap
