Frank Mir vs Daniel Cormier Set for November | Strikeforce News
Former UFC heavyweight champ Frank Mir and Strikeforce Grand Prix tournament winner Daniel Cormier is scheduled to face each other on Nov. 3 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Cormier reveals to USA today
“I am excited to be going back to Oklahoma for this fight because it’s been like my second home. My first fight was in Oklahoma, and the biggest fight of my Strikeforce career will be there.”
UFC President Dana White states
“There has been a lot of speculation as to who Cormier would fight next, and this is the fight that makes the most sense. The reality is, Cormier is one of the best heavyweights in the world. He just won the grand prix and beat Josh Barnett. He needs to fight opponents of that caliber, and Frank Mir is that guy.”
This match up marks the first time that an existing UFC star will drop down to to challenge an existing Strikeforce star.

This is going to be a very good fight.
I believe Mir will have a strong chance once it hits the ground and im sure it will it the ground!!!
I don’t think Mir will be able to take Cormier down. JDS revealed his weakness. Mir is a great fighter, but I think after his bike accident, he hasn’t been the same.
