Four Bouts Added To UFC On FOX 7 | UFC NEWS
Four additions have been added to April’s UFC on FOX 7 event and they are all lightweight bouts.
Myles Jury will face Ramsey Nijem, Norman Parke is set to battle with Jon Tuck, Jorge Masvidal is booked against Time Means and Roger Bowling will square off with Anthony Njokuani.
UFC officials announced the bookings late Wednesday night.
UFC on FOX 7 is set to take place on April 20 in San Jose at the HP Pavilion. In the main event Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez will square off with current UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson for the UFC lightweight title.
TUF Live competitor, Myles Jury, last saw action at UFC 155 where he was able to best Michael Johnson via decision to keep his unbeaten record intact. His opponent, Ramsey Nijem, is currently riding a three-fight win streak and last saw action at UFC on FOX 5 where he outpointed Joe Proctor in route to a decision victory.
TUF Smashes winner, Parke, was last seen winning his season of “The Ultimate Fighter” when he took out Colin Fletcher. The Fletcher victory marked his seventh straight professional MMA win. His opponent, Tuck, will fight for the second time under the UFC banner. He last saw action taking out Tiequan Zhang in this UFC’s debut in China.
Jorge Masvidal is one of the top Strikeforce lightweights who will now settle into the UFC promotion for his first fight. After going 3-1 under the Strikeforce banner, the former title challenger will look to make an immediate impact amongst the UFC’s lightweight division. Masvidal will face off with Means, who up until this point hasn’t tasted defeat inside the Octagon. He last saw action at UFC on FX 3 where he took out Justin Salas early via TKO.
Roger Bowling, another Strikeforce import, is set to make his UFC debut after last seeing action in a welterweight bout where he lost to the last reigning Strikeforce Champion, Tarec Saffiedine. He is up against, division journeyman, Anthony Njokuani who last saw action last July in a losing effort to Rafael dos Anjos.
With the additions the UFC on FOX 7 card now includes:

• Daniel Cormier vs. Frank Mir
• Nate Diaz vs. Josh Thomson
• Matt Brown vs. Dan Hardy
• Myles Jury vs. Ramsey Nijem

• Norman Parke vs. Jon Tuck
• Roger Bowling vs. Anthony Njokuani
