WHO'S GOT THE BEST TAKEDOWN DEFENSE IN MMA HISTORY?
My vote goes clearly to BJ and that's not because this is his site. That's just the clear cut winner IMO. I think BJ has to have some sort of record in the UFC for most failed takedown attempts against a fighter.
I think this question has a pretty obvious answer but just wanted to know what you guys thought.

let the hate begin, GSP, diddnt they say in his alves fight he was not on his back for like 2 years or something? total time on back was like a minute? BJ is good too...

Wont hate, GSP hasn't been put on his back for a while now so much respect. But tell me this, compare the number of takedowns he's had to defend to the number BJ has had to defend and it's not even close. The first thing fighters try to do to BJ is take him down. Most of the time they spend the ENTIRE fight just trying to get the takedown, i.e Diego Sanchez, Kenny Florian.

Most guy's wouldn't attempt to take GSP down because he is a strong wrestler and the thought of GSP putting them on their back would frighten the other fighters. The only reason why people attemp to take BJ down is because of his cardio. I have a good feeling BJ's next opponent will limit his attempts because we all know BJ has a gas tank and won't get tired of defending the take downs. GSP had a hard time taking BJ down untill BJ started to get tired. I say BJ has the best takedown defense.
