there are some people that say gsp should meet bj at catchweight, i disagree. dont get me wrong bj is my favorite fighter but what would a catchweight match do? bj said himself "its not about who is the biggest strongest guy but the most skilled" and on gsp's side he could have the mind set "i beat him 2wice why would i need to drop weight to fight him" i honestly think bj should fight him at 170. what yall think agree or disagree???

regardless whether the fight was at 170 or catchweight of 163, St-pierre is gonna be the bigger fighter on fight night, might as well make it an official welterweight bout. If the rubber match happens to be only 3 rounds non title fight, than maybe i can see a reason to have it at catchweight. But Until than, Penn will continue to eat 155'ers so he might aswell start warming up to his potential new home of 170

GSP has put a lot of effort into gaining muscle mass for a potential MW debut. He's at 196 pounds right now. Cutting to 163 is pretty unrealistic. He would have to stop a lot of his weight training and start losing muscle.

Fighting him at 170 is a more likely event.

Pisses me off when people say meet at 163 or something. GSP wouldn't cut that weight even if it were possible, he has a tough enough time making 170 now days. BJ shouldn't worry bout packing on weight, he should stay as conditioned and fit as he is now and go in that way. Conditioning/agility > weight.

Catchweight I believe as well is a waste of time..
Were did you read GSP is currently at 196 pounds?

I want to see him fight GSP at 170 cause then it will be a title fight.....If BJ continues to train with the Marinovich's he will keep getting better and stronger...Pretty F%$king scary...

Agreed.
Bj would not want to fight a dehydrated GSP and not at his best. He wants to fight the best GSP and he should. Makes his win over a good fighter way more valid and credible with no excuses.

With his current training program, he could easily gain good weight for a fight at 170 lbs. He will be way more explosive and way more stronger at that weight, with his new training. GSP knows how dangerous BJ is at any weight. His boxing and his BJJ. GSP's game plan for the last fight was to get BJ fatigued with his wrestling. Which worked, but what is he going to do with an "IN TOP SHAPE" BJ? WAR BJ!!!!

GSP said it on Q@A at the Hardy Swick card,as far as a catch weight F that you want the WW title fight at 170.Dana said he would like to see BJ clean out the LW division WTF he's done it there ain't no one else, then he went on to say BJ should earn his way to the WW title by fighting A Fitch or Alves I know alot of fans feel that way but I personaly would love to see this fight sooner then later.Hardy aint no match for GSP, and he too has cleaned out the WW div.I want this fight as much as all the diehard BJ fans so GSP can move on to MW and prove to the world he is P4P the best and put an end to this BJ GSP idle chit chat,oh yea and I say let's do it in Hawaii it would be the cherry on top of the cake.

Having their fight in Hawaii wouldn't be the fairest grounds possible imo. Would be amazing to have it there sure and i'm sure BJ would love it, but it'd be like having their fight in canada, not exactly an unbias crowd.

I was being a little selfish,I just thought a couple of weeks in Hawaii vacationing and watching GSP win a third fight with BJ in his own state would be great. "Is that to much to ask"? LOL
