Someone needs to beat up Machida and knock him down a notch!
Hes too cocky ..205 is a weak division...anderson silva proves that!

I don't think Machida is too cocky. In fact he seems to be a very humble fighter. But I still think Shogun will hand him his first loss!

How does Silva prove 205 to be weak? Nobody has given Anderson a fight yet. You move any other MW up and I gaurantee you that it's not that easy for them.
Machida is far from cocky....As he said, anybody can beat him. Everybody is beatable. He's just on another level right now. There is a difference between confident and cocky!!

Be patient, it will happen. A lot of times the media and fans and attention go to athletes heads. I am not sure if this is what has happened to Machida or not but as the LHW champ he is going to be fighting top 3 guys in that division every single time he fights. I think he has a unique style that someone is going to figure out and I do think Rua has a good shot at beeting him, and probably will. Then all the Machida hype will die down for a while. Overrated is probably not the right term but over populated may be better. He just won the title. Let him defend it a couple of times before he is voted into the Hall of Fame and voted as one of the best fighters of all time.

The guy is as humble as they come. From my point of view I just see the media hyping him up before he even has a chance to make a run at a long term champ. He just won the title and everyone wants to crown him the best ever, he may be, I am not sure of that, but let him compete against the top 2 or 3 ranked fighters a couple of times before he is crowned the PFP king of MMA.

Are you talking about Anderson Silva? Probably the most humble MMA fighter ever, and a true champ that has cleaned out an entire division. The only bad thing anyone can say about the guy is that he could have tried harder in a couple of his title deffences. But still won those fights easily, with his oponent crawling around on the ground. There are a lot of fighters who are cocky, building up to a fight. Some just jerks, ala Brock, but how can anyone accuse Anderson Silva of being cocky or a jerk, I think he is the most humble guy in MMA.

The only thing bad about Machida I can think of is that he is a, how did Floyd say that, "Pee Pee Mouth". I did a little research on "urine treatments" after the 24-7 show on HBO for the floyd fight. It is not for the nutrients, gross, it is used as a dieretic, to help lose weight and slow down the digestive process. It probably wont be long before the athletic commisions get involved and stop all this piss drinking. Can you believe that Machida's father had a full glass. Nasty. lol

Yeah man, that was a full pint he was fittin to guzzle! I also think the urine drinking has a lot to do with one's own discipline. Guys like Machida are totally disciplined into routines, and I think that drinking your own piss, willingly, shows some sort of twisted dedication to your craft. I work at a Software company and we are all dedicated employees, but you won't catch us saying bottoms up to luke warm glass of urine every morning.

oh and as for this post, Machida is incredibly humble and sincere. I have no idea what makes you think he's cocky, unless something new has come up that I've missed.
