Its funny how strikeforce and the elitexc get to be on cbs and the ufc never gets a chance to be on cbs. Cause people see the ufc as cockfighting. But not strikeforce or elitexc. Spike tv is great though. But its not seen as a national tv channel though. Cheap fighting shows get the good networks and the big one gets a medium sized network

Never thought of it that way

UFC and other popular networks could not reach an agreement which is why you don't see the UFC on networks like CBS. Organizations such as Strikeforce are more desperate in getting big networks like CBS and are more willing to come to an agreement.

Dana is a pimp. If he doesn't get what he thinks is fair market value for his product, he will bitch and moan and libel his nemeses.

Case in point: EA Sports, Affliction, Fedor, Strikeforce, etc.

sorry but your wrong. and here is why, couple years ago no one wanted ufc or any other mma on tv, but ufc has denied tv deals because they were all bad deals, now they want a peice of somthing thats actually doing good in this economy, and they didnt bite when that had the chance, so other "cheap fighting shows" take the very first deal they can, just to make money, where ufc is thinking long term. its tru homie

Actually its how the UFC thinks their too BIG TIME to take shitty offers from HUGE!!! corporations like ABC NBC or CBS.

The UFC is probly rejecting every proposal that cbs has offered them.In due time it will happen.the lawyers gotta go back and forth till they reach agreement that both parties are happy with.but from what it sounds like I think the UFC is trying to get more $$$$

your comment doesnt make too much sense..people see the UFC as cockfighting but not Strikeforce?? I dont see where you get that, they are both promotions of the same sport.. its just that the UFC doesnt need CBS and strikeforce does, its not because people think UFC is Cockfighting.

It's all about the money, guys. Bottomline is when ABC, NBC, CBS cough up enough money, and get the right Advertisers, the UFC will be there.
So far the network shows have been disappointing. lets hope tonights show is really good.A success will make Dana re-think all this.
