IMO, this is how I see the fight going:

Anderson has this thing I've noticed he always does. If you strike with him and land some punches, he'll get excited and rush in for the KO. Either by strikes or he'll try to get the Muay Thai plum. Most notably he did it against Hendo and Franklin, among others.

I think Anderson will probably get caught with a minor punch that'll get his attention, and try to do the same on Vitor. But I think Vitor's striking is too good for that and he'll probably get caught by one of Vitor's devastating punches. Then Vitor will rush in and finish him off.

Just my opinion.

no idea.....its a numb.....all the brazilian fighters share the opinion that belforts boxing and technique its better than anderson....anderson could not have the power but has the precision of a beverly hills boob doctor....that said....all around anderson is the better mixed martial artist....its the more intelligent.....if vitor explodes and catches anderson he could win.....i wanna vitor to win....but then, any good wrestle could take him down.....ala couture.......ill put my money on anderson....6 of 10 times....

VITOR 1ST ROUND KO!

I've stated this before in another thread but this fight will be the battle of the counter-punchers for sure. Belfort no longer rushes in with all guns blazing but is more methodical in his approach, looking for openings, and exploding when he sees one. Anderson will probably try to feel him out for the first 2 rounds then try to either force a clinch where his Muy Thai would negate Belfort's boxing. If it goes to the ground I don't think either will try to hard to submit each other and will try to get back on their feet as soon as possible. I most likey think it's going to be a KO or TKO for either fighter (I'm hoping Vitor is the one standing at the end). If Anderson loses then I think he'll probably will move up to LHW to finish up his contract (and possibly the LHW belt if Shogun beats Machida) as I've yet seen him give anyone a re-match in any of his fights. This would probably open up the Middleweight division in terms of viable contenders for the belt and probably better match ups with the fighters involved (assuming Belfort doesn't dominate like Anderson would have). Otherwise I think if Anderson retains his belt he will continue moving up and down from MM to LHW just to finish out his contract.
