Former UFC Fighter Tim Credeur Turns Himself In On Warrant for Gun and Drug Charges
UFC veteran Tim “Crazy” Credeur turned himself in on Monday to the Louisiana County Correctional Center in Lafayette, La. on drug and firearm charges.
Lafayette police issued a warrant for Credeur’s arrest on May 29; charges include possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm in the presence of a Schedule I narcotic.
Credeur rose to prominence on the seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter” where he made it to the semi-finals before losing a decision to Jesse Taylor. When Taylor was then eliminated from the finale for disciplinary reasons, Credeur fought C.B. Dollaway for a chance to face Amir Sadollah at the TUF 7 finale; Credeur again lost a decision.
After suffering back-to-back losses to Nate Quarry and Ed Herman in September 2009 and June 2011 respectively, Credeur has not been seen inside the Octagon. Based on his recent problems with the law, it doesn’t look like the two-year layoff is going to end anytime soon.
