Former Strikeforce Champ Feijao Denied Suspension appeal By CSAC | MMA NEWS
California State Athletic Commissionvoted unanimously to deny the appeal of former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante. A series of testimonies, rebuttals, questions and answers along with Cavalcante’s denial of ever taking steroids. Manager Ed Soares, lawyer and Cavalante himself argued this particular case stemmed from a mishandling of the sample taken from the fighter prior to his bout against Mike Kyle. Soares continued to speak after the commission made it’s ruling, CSAC stated the matter had been heard and they were moving on to other business. Leaving Cavalante with a $2,500 fine levied against him by the commission from the suspension and shelved til May 18, 2013
