Following Domestic Violence Joke, Dana White Warns Sonnen To Leave Comedy To Comedians

“First of all, the joke wasn’t that funny. He’s not a comedian, and you can’t make fun of domestic violence or any other thing. He’s a sports commentator, and he’s got to knock that s–t off. He’s got to stop. He’s got to stop, or it’s not going to be good. Chael needs to stop the comedy and do what he’s on that show to do. He’s great at it. He’s super talented. Leave the jokes to the comedians.”

During this weeks media events, the UFC boss, Dana White has some time to discuss the controversial remarks made by company mouth piece, Chael Sonnen.

While Sonnen is still expected to be a staple on the Fox Sports 1 network, his jokes and antics were put under fire for his most recent comments surrounding domestic abuse and likely was a lesson learned.

      Not really.

He didn’t make a joke about domestic violence.

He made a joke about a dumb girl with the IQ of a turnip and the man she went back to, the same guy who beat her to a bloody pulp.

It’s a fact. Rhianna wrote a song about getting beat up and made money off it. That’s what the joke was about.

  3. FoxShade says:

I thought it was funny, people are just too sensitive these days.

  4. Wheels says:

Dana White is correct? More like people over reacted and can’t take a joke, bunch of pussies.

  5. Wtw says:

Dana white is not right. People just need to lighten up in this country. Americans are so uptight and sensitive. He was JOKING… You literally can’t say anything here without being a big deal. So much for a free country.

  6. Sean says:

I agree hes right about this one. when did domestic violence become funny?

  7. BT says:

People really need to lighten up. So fn sensitive. If you think a joke like that is in bad taste you’re allowed to have your opinion about it, hell you can even voice your opinion. However, nobody owes you or anyone else an apology.

  8. The Way Of The Dutchman says:

It was a bad joke, but I don’t think FOX minds much since they endorse politicians who claim rape victims asked for it.
