Florian: “This is possibly my last shot at a UFC title”
“Seems a lot of people like to say “Kenny Florian — that guy chokes in the big fights,” but it is simply not true.
You have to look at fights in context and not just oversimplify stuff. There is a reason to each and every loss I have, and the fights need to be looked at in the context of my whole career. I have never choked in a fight. Each and every fight — whether victory or defeat – has been part of a greater learning experience. I’m still learning and working things out today. Nobody in mixed martial arts, not Anderson Silva, Jon Jones or anyone else, has figured this sport out yet. We are all still striving to improve and find the answers.
This is possibly my last shot at a UFC title — I know that. Thinking about things realistically, I may not get another chance if I fail to come through with this one. That’s not something I try to think about too much, though. Two-time lightweight title challenger, Kenny Florian takes to his personal blog over at ESPN.COM to discuss his co-main event slot with Jose Aldo this Saturday.
After two failed attempts at getting UFC gold, Florian is ready to show the world that he is not a choke artist and attempt to upset Jose Aldo at UFC 136.

He didn’t do anything to Diego Nunes. Nothing significant at least. Diego won that fight imo. Hominick did a well job exposing holes in Aldo’s game. Lets see if Kenny does the same. Doubt it, but can’t count em out.

Apart from Fickett which was a split decision, and i have no idea how that fight looked.
Kenny is a great fighter, but i just dont see him having that edge to become a champ.

Florian nuthuggers just need to face the FACT that Florian cannot beat high level wrestlers or strikers with lots of power. No way in hell Florian deserved this title shot vs Aldo and EVERYONE knows Mendes would bury Florian by p4p. IMO Kenny is one of the most overrrated fights in MMA.
