The Final Shift | Shane Del Rosario Meets Replacement Stipe Miocic At UFC 146 | UFC NEWS

Dana White announces via his twitter account that 8-0 Stipe Miocic will face off against 11-0 Shane Del Rosario at UFC 146.

Miocic is a former Golden Gloves Champion & NCAA Division One wrestler. Six of his eight victories have come via knockout as well as one submission due to leg kicks. He is 2-0 in the UFC defeating Joey Beltran in his debut and more recently stopping Phil De Fries in the first round at UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger.

Del Rosario is a two time WBC Muay Thai World Heavyweight Champion and has fought previously in Strikeforce. Eight of his victories have come via knockout the other three by submission and to date no man has been able to go the distance with the Huntington Beach, California native. In his last bout he submitted Lavar Johnson at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva on February 12, 2011.

Del Rosario was originally slated to face Gonzaga on the night, but with Alistair Overeem being removed from the event the UFC has been forced to make many changes, including this recently announced addition to the evenings fight card.
