In honor of the work and sacrifices that the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces offer in the name of their country, the University of MMA is promoting a special amateur MMA event, entitled ‘Salute to Service,’ on September 11, 2011.

Tickets are now on sale at www.UofMMA.com. ‘Salute’ will pay tribute in two ways. Firstly, ‘the U’ has teamed up with the Lone Survivor Foundation (www.LoneSurvivorFoundation.org), a federally approved 501c3 non-profit with a vision to help wounded service members and their families.

The U will be supplying autographed MMA memorabilia and private training sessions with local MMA coaches. All auction proceeds go directly to the Lone Survivor Foundation.

This event will feature the best amateurs from 10th Planet Van Nuys, Kerr MMA, Legends MMA, Xtreme Couture, Sweet Science MMA, Team Quest, Sityodtong LA, Triton MMA, Alexander’s Dungeon, Bond Squad MMA, Bruiser’s Grappling Academy, and Next Generation MMA.
