Fedor Elected President of Russian MMA Union | UFC NEWS
According to several sources, an MMA union has been formed in Russia and you’ll never guess who the president is.
That’s right, The Last Emperor, Fedor Emelianenko, is now the first president after a unanimous vote elected him into office. There were over 100 dignitaries present, representing 52 regions throughout Russia. This new Russian MMA union is apart of the newly formed IAMMA. This comes as a fitting gesture as one of Fedor’s good friends is none other than Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now both men control their respective domains.
This move for Fedor may also validate a story run several days ago, hinting at a possible retirement for Fedor after his upcoming fight with Pedro Rizzo. Now Fedor can step away from the ring, yet still be very much involved with the sport he loves.
