When the coaches were brought in I initially didn’t have a preference, Shane Carwin seemed like he was the more organized of the two. He brought a more complete coaching staff to work with their team every day.
Life in the house is definitely not like my life at home. We have no TV, radio, internet, books or magazines. There is absolutely no communication with the outside world. I think it’s kind of like how it would be in jail, except you don’t get a phone call or any visitors. The food is great though. I got everything I wanted. Eating is probably one of my favorite things to do while living in the TUF house.
In general, everyone was really cool with me before and after the fight, including Sam. Right before the fight everyone was really nice. It seemed like all the guys felt like my chances of beating Sam were pretty small. After I won the fight, everyone was very surprised.
After the fight, I was not surprised that I won. I know what I am capable of. It did feel great though, to defeat the #1 pick on the show. I was one step closer to being where I want to be, and my work isn’t close to being done.
