Right out of the gate Lima was asked why he was entering this years Bellator tourney after just winning it last year?
Douglas Lima-
“Yeah man, it’s not easy at all, especially the weight, making the weight over and over again. Miserable man, hard on your body but, you know you gotta go through it, it’s exciting. I got a kid on the way it makes me train twice as hard and fight even harder. “
Then they talked a little about having a new baby coming, getting ready for the tourney and dealing with a pregnant wife all at the same time. Lima said the hard part is cutting the weight and not being able to eat while his wife was eating everything.
Then they asked Lima to talk about Bellator’s big jump from mtv2 to spike tv, with the great ratings it received, and how excited he was about the move over to spike?
Douglas Lima-
“Yeah man it was big, big for Bellator and big for us, as far as the ratings I was like, wow man that’s really a big change, a big upgrade. It just excites me even more, I can’t wait to get in there. I was watching spike and everything was just better, the camera, the image, man it’s just exciting. I just can’t wait to put on a show. I’m going to throw down, im going to go hard, it’s just exciting, makes me go harder, never quit.”
