ESPN Anchor Stuart Scott tweets that his cancer has returned: Using MMA training to stay healthy

Stuart Scott released this statement on his twitter Monday evening,

“Blessed by prayers..I’m back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I’ll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG”

Robert Griffin III and Jason Taylor were a few of the players to show support and sympathy to Stuart, which he stayed upbeat and had this to say,

“Thanks for prayers..ill fight w ALL C survivors & loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear..picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!”

He also tweeted to his followers and gave them an inside look at his routine,

“Here’s what I do right aftr chemo. Leave the infusion center & go STRAIGHT 2 either do a p90x wkout or train MMA..THATS how you #LIVESTRONG”

Stuart Scott is one of the greats ESPN anchors, he has knowledge, he’s a positive person and has great delivery among other things. It might be his attitude towards his battle with cancer that speaks the most about his character.

“Cancer sucks, and the effects of chemotherapy suck, and you’re going to feel like crap sometimes,” said Stuart last year. “But you’re going to feel like that whether you’re lying in bed or going to work or working out, so you might as well go out there and live your life. If you believe you’re not being touched by this, then it’s much better.”

We wish you well, and keep your hands up, and your chin down.

Love sportscenter! This man is “cooler than the other side of the pillow” -Stuart Scott. Hope he remains high in spirit, blessings and prayers. Mr. Vitale said it best…”don’t give up, don’t ever give up”. Hope the training makes you come out of this battle a stronger man.
