Emelianenko Set To Return To Action This June | Rumored Opponent Bobby Lashley
M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan took to twitter this afternoon to announce “Breaking News” about the future of Fedor Emelianenko.
According to his release Fedor Emelianenko will return to MMA Action on June 21 at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. “News on the opponent to come,” is what Kogan wrote.
No opponent has been officially named yet, although American Top Team fighter and former WWE wrestler, Bobby Lashley is the name everyone is floating around.

Fedor, actually m-1 made the biggest mistake thinking Fedor would be the one man show not signing with UFC when they had the chance and being offered so much. Unforutnly, Fedor will be remembered by his last few fights then his reign in PRIDE.
M-1 ruined the career of Fedor. You’re right, he is going to be remembered as the guy who dominated Pride but fought and lost to less than stellar competition after his Pride run. His career will always be remembered as a what could have been.

Both of those fighters were mid level fighters at best when they fought Fedor. After fighting him then they got into the top 15 and before SF he fought guys that were way past their primes…gimmie fights. BTW Hendo’s natural weight is 185 since he cuts nada to make 205 and had to add weight to fight at HW, Fedor got KO’d by a guy two weight classes below him…he lost to less than stellar competition in SF.

Fedor is throwing his once illustrious career down the drain for nothing, he was once one of the best fighters in the world but the times have changed. Now as a HW he is nothing more than a joke compared to the bigger HW’s. He would be a stellar LHW, but I don’t think he would be willing to make that cut. Anyone who says he would stand a chance in the upper echelon of the HW division in the UFC is delusional.

Look guys I’m sorry to all of you that think that Fedor is the shit. He used to be back when the talent level was a bit lower. Nowadays the talent is so much higher than ever before and to even think that Fedor is in the top 5 HW’s of the world today is insane. Top 10 maybe. He was the best HW during that generation. To say he would dominate this generation of fighters is insane though. Best of all time? No. Best of his generation? HELL YES.
Back when talent was a bit lower? The best fights where back then, back when there were fewer rules, back when people could take a hell of a lot more of a beating, back when it was better. Half of the shit I’m reading on here is so retarded I’m surprised their brain functions enough to operate their body. Spoken by fans who know nothing about the sport except for what they see on TUF. Not to mention the fight can go either way. Any real fighter can tell you all it takes is 1 clean punch to end a fight.
What I’m saying about the talent is true there are far more talented fighters now than there were years ago. I never said the fights weren’t better because quite frankly the fights back then were the best fights that I have ever seen. The fewer the rules the better in my opinion and the whole carding for stalling rule was absolute genius I’m just saying that Fedor excelled in that time period but in this generation it would be a challenge for him. And yes I know one punch can end a fight as I do MMA myself but the top tier guys have to know how avoid that clean punch which is why they are in the top of their respective division. Fedor was great and had amazing fights, but I do not believe he could be champion in today’s game in which there are more rules and better competition.
