Eddie Yagin Out of UFC on FOX With Injury | UFC NEWS
UFC featherweight contender Eddie Yagin has been forced out of his bout with Dennis Siver at UFC on Fox 5. Yagin was diagnosed with a serious injury that placed him in the hospital with apparent swelling around his brain.
Iridium Sports Agency’s Jason House today confirmed with MMA Fighting that Yagin is currently hospitalized due to a brain injury suffered in a weekend sparring session.
“He came home after practice, had a headache, started to vomit whatever liquids he drank and then decided to go to the ER the next day”, said Jason House, Yagin’s manager in a statement to MMA Weekly.
There is blood around his brain, which caused the swelling and pressure there. His manager has yet to speak with the doctors, but he apparently does believe that Yagin will remain there for a few more days.
