Eddie Mendez Set To Face Nick Penner At UFC on FX 6 | UFC NEWS
UFC officials have just added a light-heavyweight bout to next month’s UFC on FX 6 event in the form of Eddie Mendez vs. Nick Penner.
The booking comes after both Ednaldo Oliveira and Krzysztof Soszynski were forced to withdraw from the card with injuries.
UFC on FX 6 is set to take place on December 15 from the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia. The evenings card will serve as the “TUF: The Smashes” Finale.
Mendez makes his promotional debut in this latest booking. Having gone 7-0-1 in his time as a pro the regional circuit prospect will look to make an impression in Australia.
Penner last saw action in a losing effort to Anthony Perosh at UFC on FX 2. The loss snapped an eight fight winning streak.
