Dominick Cruz Suffers Broken Hand, Surgery Set For Next Week

“You know one of the things I respect about the kid? He’s got a broken hand and had one the entire fight. He broke his (left) hand and is going to have surgery. Not only did he not stop fighting and keep coming up 100 percent, he doesn’t even [expletive] say anything about it. He goes through an entire press conference and doesn’t say anything about his hand. You should see his hand right now. His whole middle of his hand is all swollen. His knuckle looks nasty. He’s going to get surgery next week. (But) I don’t know how long that will keep him out.”
UFC president Dana White talked to the media following the UFC on Versus 6 post-fight press conference and revealed that his bantamweight champion, Dominick Cruz, outpointed his opponent this past Saturday with a broken hand.

that fight was not as good as I thought it was going to be, wrestling was good, but the inactivity on the ground was boring. mighty mouse was quick and exciting
The only reason Cruz won is because he was able to get those takedowns.
Who cares if he only won for that reason! What you should say is Johnson lost because of the takedowns. The champ won with a broken hand and beat a top level fighter on top of it. Respect earned, respect given. Heal well Cruz!!
I completely agree with you. Johnson is a good fighter, but Cruz fought well for a man with a broken hand. Cruz is one of my favorite fighters, but I will admit that Johnson did fight pretty well.
