DK Publishing Releases “UFC Encyclopedia”

The UFC has teamed up with DK Publishing to release its long awaited “UFC Encyclopedia”, which is in stores. The 400-page project, which was lead by UFC.com editorial director/ book author Thomas Gerbasi, covers the entire 18-year history of the UFC in a unique combination of pictures, fighter bios, and event recaps.
In celebration of the release Gerbasi and several UFC fighters are booked for upcoming signings across the nation.
The full-color book includes “unprecedented access to the most dynamic fighters in the world, through profile and action photos, detailed biographies, win/loss records, vital stats, and titles held in the organization,” according an official release.
The book contains 1,500 images, along with interviews and/or biographies of almost every notable name that has ever competed in the UFC. The “UFC Encyclopedia” also includes the history of the UFC, top-25 lists, event results, the long history of UFC champions, “The Ultimate Fighter” season recaps, an overview of the UFC Hall of Fame and more.
This book is by far the most historically complete, visually stunning representation of MMA’s most prominent promotion and it’s available in stores now for a retail price of $50 or online through major retailers for less than $30.
So far we have caught word that Joe Lauzon, Donald Cerrone and Anthony Pettis will all be taking part in the book signing Saturday in various locations. The full list of fighters scheduled for the signing is available at UFC.com
After 18 years of heart-pumping action this is a definite piece of history that any true fan of MMA will have to have. Don’t let this piece of history slip away fight fans.
