Diego Nunes to Face Nik Lentz on Yet to be Named Brazil Card in January

The UFC has booked another fight for their January 19 event in Brazil.

Portal do Vale Tudo a Brazilian website is reporting on a featherweight bout between Nik Lentz and Diego Nunes.

Lentz began his UFC career with a 5-0-1 run that included wins over Rafaello Oliveira, Tyson Griffin and Andre Winner. Since then he has gone 1-2-1 with a no contest coming against Charles Oliveira in June of last year. In his last bout he made his featherweight debut and defeated Eiji Mitsuoka via first round TKO at UFC 150.

Nunes had what many believe was his best performance in the UFC as he claimed Fight of the Night honors and a unanimous decision victory against Bart Palaszewski at UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot. Nunes has alternated wins and losses in his last four fights after reeling off three straight wins, two of them in the WEC and the other against Mike Brown at UFC 125 in his UFC debut.

This is the third fight scheduled thus far for the January UFC Brazil event. As we reported here on BJPenn.Com yesterday Godofredo Castro will face Milton Vieira and Yuri Alcantara will meet Johnny Eduardo.

No venue or event name has been given for this card and as of right now there are rumors swirling that the main event could be Michael Bisping vs. Vitor Belfort.
