Darren Elkins vs. Steven Siler Booked For UFC 154 | UFC NEWS
A featherweight contest has just been added to next month’s UFC 154 event in the form of Steven Siler vs. Darren Elkins.
TUF veteran Siler confirmed the booking through his official Twitter account and the bout will likely be featured on the evening’s preliminary card.
UFC 154 is set to go down on Nov. 17th from the Bell Centre in Montreal. The pay-per-view main card features a main event for the UFC welterweight title between GSP and Carlos Condit. FX and Facebook.com are expected to host the preliminary card broadcast.
Siler finds himself on a three-fight UFC win streak and will look for his fourth straight when stepping opposite Elkins. The Ultimate Fighter 14 veteran took out Josh Clopton in his debut, then went on to upset a very dangerous Cole Miller before submitting Joey Gambino in his most recent contest. His only professional loss comes prior to his UFC stint to Chad Mendes back in 2009.
Elkins is in a similar position. Having taken out his last three opponents, he too will look for his fourth straight UFC win. After dropping down a class the newly minted featherweight has looked impressive in his bouts against Omigawa, Tiequan and Brandao.
