Daniel Pineda Replaces Robert Peralta for UFC on FX 2
Last week, the UFC on FX 2 card suffered a loss, as Robert Peralta was forced with withdraw from his rematch with Mackens Semerzier due to broken toes suffered in training. Fast forward to today, as the UFC has announced that Daniel Pineda, who just fought a few weeks ago, will now step in for the injured Peralta when he meets Semerzier next month.
Daniel Pineda last fought at UFC on FX 1, where he made his octagon debut, defeating Pat Schilling via rear naked choke in the first round. The win marked Pineda’s 6th straight victory, as he hopes to continue his climb in the UFC featherweight division when he meets Semerzier this March.
UFC on FX 2 takes place Saturday, March 3rd from Allphones Arena in Sydney, Austrailia and is headlined by a welterweight clash between Thiago Alves, and Martin Kampmann.
