Dana White Targeting May 2013 For Silva vs. GSP Superfight | UFC NEWS
UFC President Dana White talked to ESPN’s Sportcenter, and outlined his plan if GSP is victorious over Carlos Condit this weekend.
“(Silva) always comes out and says this stuff. I don’t know why he does it or why he says the things he says. I guarantee you, he will be there Saturday. If Georges St-Pierre wins, those two will fight and it’ll probably be in May.”

I don’t see how rushing GSP to fight Silva after his long layoff from injury makes sense. Unless Dana is looking to suck the last bit of blood out of Silva before he retires… And in my opinion, Silva is coming off like a douchebag to me, challenging a smaller GSP right after his first fight from injury. This whole thing stinks and I have no real interest in watching this fight. If Dana is really interested in giving us what we want, have Silva fight JBJ. JBJ has no real challengers in LHW right now. But I don’t think that will happen, JBJ is too much of a cash cow to risk his legacy to a guy that’s about to retire… that’s just my opinion.
Silva is afraid of getting his legacy ripped by JBJ. Silva’s being a pansy by trying to push the fight with GSP and seeming to cry foul play when Dana wants him to go against Jones as well. He knows Jones is a threat, and personally I think he’s probably scared of Jones pulling a Sonnen, but with those cutting elbows he has.
Man, I completely agree with…. Dana is starting to be such an ass
Also, why would it be ‘if’? I feel it doesn’t matter if he wins or loses rather has the belt or not. Having two elite fighters willing to fight each other is ideal approach. They already made a name for themselves as well as accomplished a lot. But it’s up to the fighters. Dana can’t forced them into anything.
Rushing? He doesn’t mind his nickname is Rush.
But seriously, They’re talking about may 2013 It’s november 2012 now. That is 6 months to get ready after his fight against Condit. Silva and GSP are closer in weight than Silva and JBJ.
I think the last fight of Silva will be against JBJ anyway. He will go out on his shield.

Don’t watch it if you don’t like it. I for one, can’t wait.
Nice try Dana, we all know this fight is NEVER going to happen.
*FIRST*
BACK IN THE GAME BABY!!!! and y’all thought its not happening
I agree that Silva is trying to find the easier way and fight the smaller guy instead of takin on Jones, I respect Silva but I’ll be rooting for GSP if this happens, GSP has to be the most athletic fighter in UFC, he trains like a TRUE champion
Seriously why the hell would silva be afraid of jbj hes thrashed light heavyweights before, but it makes more sense dropping weight first, fighting gsp and then he could bulk up to fight jbj at a later date
