Dana White Puts Talks Of Hawaii On Hold | UFC NEWS
UFC has been toying with thoughts of an outdoor event in Hawaii. The organizers have been keeping the Hawaii in their radar. The state commission of Hawaii instituted a set of rules similar to those held in other areas of the United States.
The rules and sanctioning are in place but post UFC Fuel TV4: Munoz vs Weidman, UFC President, Dana White said
“It’s going to be awhile.
I’d love to go to Hawaii. I’d love to go there and do an event; it kind of scares me to be outside. It rains every 15 minutes out there.
It’s not in our plans right now”
The state where MMA is very popular continues to thrive and produces legends like BJ Penn will have to wait. Plans for a UFC event in Hawaii is on hold.
