Dana White Impressed With Strikeforce Imports Raising Of The Bar | UFC News

UFC 157’s main event begins with Robbie Lawler earning a W over Josh Koscheck with a first-round TKO, which took place at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.  It was Lawler’s first time back to the UFC since UFC 50 after a recent run in Strikeforce impressing Dana White.

“The people were booing at the beginning of that fight. None of us like the up-against-the-fence bulls—. But those dudes were working.
If you know wrestling and you know this sport that was a war. That was a wrestling war between those two. That was fun.
I liked that fight, and I liked that fight going into this fight.”

UFC President, Dana White, impressed with the Strikeforce crossover fighters continues on to say…

“Strikeforce had hungry fighters. These f—ing guys are hungry. Most of them haven’t fought in a year.
They didn’t know what was going on with their career. Couldn’t pay their bills. All this s—.
Now they’re in here and they know what it was like to be (over there). They’re hungry, man. I love it.

The Strikeforce kids, they’re going to raise the bar on all these other guys.”

  1. Mellow says:

so the WEC guys came in & put UFC guys on there ass now Strikeforce. So does the UFC have the best comp?

  2. BG says:

$$$ is a great motivator, and with the “threat” to cut 100 more fighters… these guys don’t want to leave the big dance, they just got there.
