Dana White Comments On Productive Meeting With Overeem Now Has "Nothing but respect for Alistair" | UFC News

UFC President Dana White has been very vocal in expressing his disdain for Alistair Overeem after ‘The Reem’ failed a drug test prior to the scheduled UFC 146 bout with Junior Dos Santos.
White had stated previously that he would not deal with Overeem again. However the two seem to have rebuilt a working relationship after a positive meeting Dana now has “Nothing but respect for Alistair”.
Dana White comments to MMAFighting.
“He went downstairs and waited for forty minutes until I called him upstairs, and then came into my office like a man.”
“Nothing but respect for Alistair now. We all make mistakes and we all do stupid s–t. I say this all the time. It’s all in how you handle yourself after. He handled himself like a f—ing stud.”
“He’s doing all the right things now,” White said. “He’s fixing all the wrongs. We’ll see what happens.”

I was referring to an earlier event where Chael Sonnen was caught with 16.9:1 ratio. A knee to a downed opponent is legal if it’s to the body.

Lol as far as im concerned Chael and Anderson fought to total of 7/10 rounds. Chael won 5 of them and Anderson won 2. The score is 5-2 therefore Chael is still winning the fight.

The Sonnen fight was a let down. To knee a guy when he is down, legal or not, it just seems wrong. The thing about this incident is that it was blatant. Usually the grounded fighter would be rushed to mount him or be on top in a dominant position to ground & pound. Nota good fight for UFC. As for Alistair, it was a bad decision to test bad in the biggest fight of his life, but any numb nutts out there can take PED’s, but not many can compete at the elite heavyweight level in MMA. The Reem is good for the sport. He just has to keep it clean. The fight with JDS would probably be the one of the biggest fight for the UFC. Dont really care about the drama, i just want to see that fight!
there IS a difference between telling the comission ahead of time you do TRT and going over your limits, and someone who says they are all natural, dont do any supplements only hard work and look like the hulk, then pissing hot.
