Dana White Calls Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar The Real Life "Rocky Story" | UFC NEWS

“He’s huge, he’s going to be so much bigger than Anderson in this fight that it’s going to be crazy. People don’t realise what a huge Rocky story this is. Stephan has been so close for so long. He’s been waiting for a big fight to come up and then, boom, this comes up. Stephan called us to ask for this fight. He’s on a four-fight win streak and I know how much this means to him. He’s going after it and this is the biggest fight of his life. Anderson has fought at 205 before, you saw what he did with Forrest, but this is a completely different fight. It’s a dangerous fight for Anderson. I’m a huge Anderson Silva fan, he’s the greatest of all time, what he does with his hands and feet is amazing. He does things to people that other people can’t. He’s awesome and I’m a huge fan.”

UFC president Dana White recently told ESPN that he believes the UFC 153 main event between Anderson Silva and Stephan Bonnar is a real life Rocky Story of a fight.

  1. Tyler says:

ANDERSON SILVA WIN VIA 1ST ROUND KO

  2. Jenn says:

Dana does realize Rocky lost in Rocky, right? Also, didn’t Dana say Bonner should retire just a few months ago?

    • Durrr says:

I think you missed the point. He never said Bonner was going to win… He was just comparing him to Rocky cause of the fact that he’s getting an unreal chance at fighting the champion.

Get your ass back in the kitchen and stop pretending to be interested in MMA and boxing.

  3. ya herd says:

oh shut up dana just stop hyping a stupid fight im sick of u,

  4. razz says:

bonnar will fight his ass off but is still going to lose, like rocky 1

  5. RowdyRodd says:

Much Respect to Silva for taking the fight (unlike bitch-ass J. Jones) and Bonnar for goin out on a big fight! I have a good feeling Bonnar is gonna be very different, not the same pressure and we all know, he’s gonna want to retire after this fight, win/lose. Also, added respect for Dana for giving one of the two guys that started what UFC is today!!!
