Dana White & Cain Velasquez See No Issue In Bigfoot Stoppage

Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva left the cage last Saturday feeling like he didn’t get a fair shot against Cain Velasquez. While he did not protest the stoppage inside the cage, he did voice his concerns during the evenings post-fight media event.

UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez believes the referee made the right call. “I thought it was a good stoppage,” Velasquez said on FUEL TV’s UFC 160 post-fight show. “He wasn’t really moving, he wasn’t trying to get on his feet or get to his back, so I thought it was a good stoppage.”

The UFC boss also shared those exact sentiments.”It was a good stoppage,” White stated after the event. “I don’t think it was a bad stoppage. You know me, if I thought it was a bad stoppage I would be freaking out. He got knocked down, he was hurt and he was hammering him.

“Could it have gone a little while longer? Of course, but the ref is in there and he has to make that decision and I have no problems with that stoppage.”

Agree or disagree?

We all know what Cain is like so that wouldn’t of stopped , fair stoppage

For sure good stoppage. Cain is a beast, and the beating he delving out wasn’t going to stop. Cain is super hungry to keep that belt this time and it shows in his fights.

Good stoppage. Bigfoot got dropped and wasn’t protecting himself. Shit happens, move on.
