“Cotto Vs. Mayweather is an interesting fight. I think the question in this fight is what does Cotto have left? A lot of people question really what he has after that beating he took from Margarito. Came back and he beat Margarito. But Floyd Mayweather? I truly do believe that Floyd is one of the best ever. His defense is awesome, he hasn’t fought in a long time. Floyd’s taking these big layoffs now and Floyd’s not that young. He’s 34-35 years old. But I think he should beat Cotto, he should beat Cotto pretty easilly. The fight I’m interested in, as is the rest of the world, is the Manny Pacquiao/Floyd Mayweather fight. Which I’m dying to see that fight. And I actually think that Pacquiao has the style to beat Floyd. A lot of people don’t think so now because he fought that last fight. If you do him and Marquez ten times, that fight looks exactly the same ten times because that’s how they match up. Him and Floyd? I still think…Floyd’s whole game is speed and Pacquiao’s whole game is counterpunching…POWER counterpunches and I think that he’ll end up clipping Floyd with something. But who knows? We could sit here and argue this fight all day. People who think Pacquiao would win, people who think Floyd would win and there’s only one way to find out, and that’s for them to fight. That fight needs to happen and it needs to happen soon.”

After the first Margarito fight and the Pac fight not too sure what Cotto has left. Still would love to see him beat Mayweather though.
Dana and this guy above me don’t know much or fail to mention much one what does cotto have left he is the champion.. two when he lost to margarito because margarito cheated and had loaded gloves then cotto had a rematch and beat his ass.. and his only other loss was to manny where cotto dropped down and wasn’t fighting at his natural weight.. what does cotto have left lol he is the154lb champ.. but I’m not saying he will beat mayweather no one has..

Cotto has a “punchers chance”, but overall the outcome to me doesn’t look too good for him. It’ll be great if he can pull it off, then the whole Pacman vs. Mayweather talk can finally end!! But if not, then Pacman vs. Mayweather will end the last legit boxing match to make for that sport!!
I like Cotto, and I’m rooting for him. But even if the Cotto that beat Margarito in the rematch shows up, if the Mayweather that fought Ortiz shows up, I think Cotto will be picked apart. He doesn’t have the speed like Pacquiao does. However, he does have the power to KO Floyd. He just has to tag him, which will be easier said than done. That being said, I’m more excited to see this weekend’s UFC event. I’ll catch the rerun of Mayweather vs Cotto a few days afterwards.
Mayweather vs Ortiz was barely a fight. I’ll admit that Ortiz head butted Mayweather but Mayweather sucker punched Ortiz and turned me off to hustling for a bar for boxing matches and buying them. Same with B-Hop vs Dawson 1.
I too will be watching it at a later date. If Cotto wins we’re one step closer to Pac vs Mayweather in the future.

Mayweather wants too much money and lacks respect for Pac.. He won’t do 50/50 with Pac because he sees him as inferior. This is the biggest boxing match in… FOREVER. How much money does Mayweather need? Boxing needs this matchup but clearly Mayweather is more important than the sport of boxing.

The only legit challenge for Money is Pac-Man. Hope the fight happens but when you have greedy people trying to agree on how to divide the profits from the biggest fight in boxing history it’s hard for some stupid reason. It should just be a 50/50 split on money…end of story, book the damn fight after Floyd and Manny win these spring match ups.
