Dana White: Alistair Overeem is Ducking Junior dos Santos

Dana White does not seem to have a filter when it comes to sharing his opinion of UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem.

White criticized Overeem’s dominant performance in his last bout against Frank Mir, simply calling it ‘crappy‘. ‘The Reem’ went on to further annoy the UFC President when he called out former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar who does not even fight anymore. By the time UFC 169 was in the books, Alistair Overeem had pressed all of Dana White’s buttons.

Now, in a recent appearance on UFC Tonight, Dana White claims that Overeem is hiding from Junior dos Santos. MMAFighting transcribes, “He wants nothing to do with dos Santos… He’s literally hiding from JDS…”.

UFC Tonight also tweeted this about the situation:

Do you think Alistair Overeem is ‘ducking’ Junior dos Santos? Tweet us and share your thoughts in the comment section below!

  1. team backfist says:

If I were Alistair, I’d duck a loss also.

  2. William Kramer says:

He knows he’s on a short leash and has lost to lesser competition. JDS would more than likely ktfo him. I’d be dodging him too.

  3. Xaninho says:

Hahaha this is playground stuff. “What you don’t want to? Are you scared?” I don’t think a grown-ass man will sign under that kind of juvenile pressure.
