Dan Henderson Is Next For Title Shot At 205 or 185 Confirms UFC Boss

“Yes, Dan Henderson will get the winner of that fight (Jones vs. Evans) or the winner of the Anderson Silva fight. Dan Henderson just wants a title shot. You know, there was a lot of talk about the stuff I said. Here is the thing. I offered Dan Henderson two fights. Dan Henderson wants this fight. Normally I don’t do that. Guys don’t sit around and wait and pick their fights. There’s been very specific cases where that has happened and it’s guys who have earned it or deserved it. Dan Henderson is one of those guys. Listen, Henderson has been around forever. He is forty-something years old. He has been knocking guys out left and right and if he wants to sit around and wait for this title shot, he can do it.”

After Tuesday’s UFC 146 press conference UFC president Dana White told Fight Day that Dan Henderson is next in line for a shot at either the UFC middleweight title or the UFC light-heavyweight title.

But which title should he go for?

  1. jim says:

    Good call Dana…

    • GET RID OF FITCH (forever) says:

All I know is regardless of who Hendo ends up fighting i just want to see him KO Bisping AGAIN before he retires. With the right amount of time to train and drop weight (WITHOUT BEING INJURED LIKE IN SHEILDS FIGHT) I think Hendo’s best bet would be a rematch with Andersen Silva

  2. Mo says:

So what Dana is saying is that Dan Henderson is going to lose his next fight to either Jon Jones or Anderson Silva.

  3. John mecker says:

Son Dana whats hendo to lose to Silvana again, or get destroyed by Jones

  4. Jason says:

    Makes more sense than Bisping

  5. Dan the Lobstertail says:

Honestly id love to see hendo h-bomb either of those cocky gits!!

  6. kekekkeke says:

If he beats Silva in a rematch, he will become GOAT.

  7. ma mama said mma says:

i dont see him beating rashad he has a chance of beating evans thought i just think its funny how noone is even mentioning the fact that he may be fighting rashad lol

  8. m says:

    tough challenge in both departments.

if sonnen somehow beats silva, he should go to 185.

if rashad wins, go for the 205.

If silva and/or jones win…..it will make for an epic fight, but he will lose both of those challenges.

  9. zetoe666 says:

hendo is the best P4P of all time.

  10. Mike McMack says:

He’s got a better chance against Silva. He’s too small and not good enough on the ground to beat Jones.

  11. Alex Hawley says:

Hendo is tougher than y’all give him credit for.
Jonny Bones would struggle to defeat him (if he can beas Shad)

    • Mike McMack says:

I know Hendo’s tough but Jones wins his fights on the ground which is where Hendo happens to be his weakest.

  12. slacker says:

If Dan wins that title fight, wow, I mean, the guy has gotta be in the top 5 ever!

  13. Donnybrook says:
