I got GSP at the top !
congrats.
i have him on the bottom.
i think you should actually have to fight in order to make a list like this.
GSP and Jones have the toughest divisions IMHO. But, I think Jose is the number 1 P4P.
Out of those 4 fighters I agree but overall I think LW is probably the toughest division in MMA right now. It’s hard to argue, those 4 guys are clearly the stand out P4P fighters in MMA right now….
I think now GSP followed by Anderson but for future I think Aldo and Jones by looks of things they ain’t getting stopped !
Also and Silva best Jedi skills. GSP and Jones most athletic
Wonder if Edgar would have still been considered if he won the dec vs Henderson
good point…
i agree with aldo, silva, and jones. but gsp? really? who has he fought lately?
i guess barely squeaking out decisions and fighting once every 2 years gets you on a top P4P list these days?
Agreed. But I think they were probably taking his earlier fights into account.
He has some pretty big wins, so I’m sure that’s what they’re looking at.
Y’all are ****in crazy. Anderson is by far the best p4p fighter. Followed by Aldo, Gsp, jones, jds
And I’m referring to the non ***** Gsp. Not the one that has fought lately
Man all you guys putting gsp at the top is just as funny as him having almost more wins by decission then all of the other 3 put together. Not saying he isn’t one of the best. But he def ain’t the best when he can’t even finish his opponents
A dec win is still a win !
13 finishes (KO/Submissions) and 9 decisions. Not to mention a 9 win streak which reads like the an all-star list of opponents. You might be a little confused. People who only recently started watching UFC always make the same mistake, and I can’t really blame them. 6/9 of his decision wins came in the last 5 years. There are 3 finishes there to consider as well.
Its the challenger’s job to beat the champion, thats how the game works.
Lets add to that as well the fact that 4/6 recent decision wins were against decision fighters. Its almost like you can blame him for being in a division that is populated with the type that forced him to adapt his game to counter it in the most logical way.
How can anybody say Anderson is not the greatest fighter to ever walk to face of the earth? And GSP is def a top p4p fighter, he completely dominates every person they put into the cage with him. I agree he def has become very boring with his play it safe style now but u still can’t deny he’s a beast.
I diss like Jones as a person but you have to be a hater to put anyone above him he has finished better competition then any of these other guys have even faced
Randy’s the man!
Until someone gets in that cage and beats GSP, He will be considered a P4P fighter.
Yeas I’ll leave you with wiki. The explanation you gave was so horrible to defend gsp that it actually made me lol for real. A real champ gets the job done no matter the opponent! If you are happy to see decisions then so be it. But a real fan won’t enjoy it
Gsqueef he needs to finish some one before he can b on this list tought divison but still come on already !!!! Anderson aldo and if jds wins his next 3 fights decisively him too
Lol Jones as a p4p? He has only fought at light heavyweight. You need to have fights in multiple weight classes to even be considered p4p. Haha you ****ing morons.
He’s one of the best P4P fighters in history, he’s fought and dispatched some of the best LHW of all time. WTF does is matter that he hasn’t fought in multiple weight classes, neither has Aldo, GSP or Silva. You’re obviously just a clueless hater.
Silva has fought as a welter weight a middleweight and a light heavy weight lol
Silva is a MW and the basis of your reply is a random fight against Forrest and a nobody at LWH out of his 14 UFC fights. Like Silva is known for this, really?!? Why don’t you try posting an original thought or comment rather than drivel like this….
Griffin isn’t a nobody, lol. It’s not like they gave him a can for his LHW fight, Griffin just isn’t as good as Silva is.
Joe Bidden – You read my message wrong, I never said Griffin was a nobody (he’s actually one of my all time favourite fighters; because he has so much heart) I said Griffin and a nobody – I was referring to James Irwin which is Silvas only other LHW fight in the UFC. And my original point was that Silva/GSP/Aldo are not considered top pound for pound fighters because they compete and win in multiple divisions, it’s because they dominate in the class they are fighting in which is why Jones deserves to be mentioned in that context.
