Controversial Rousimar Palhares Signs With World Series Of Fighting
Rousimar Palhares, who was recently cast out of the UFC roster, has been signed by the World Series Of Fighting (WSOF). Palhares has seemed to have a problem with holding submissions after his opponents tap. A recent fight against Mike Pierce, where Palhares held an ankle lock after Pierce tapped, made the UFC decide to let Palhares go.
Now, after Bellator president Bjorn Rebney stated he had no interest in Palhares, WSOF has decided to give him a chance. as reported by MMAFighting.com, Palhares has signed a four-fight, 18 month contract, and is expected to make his WSOF debut in March.
Palhares, who has recently dropped down to welterweight, looks to make a dent in the WSOF welterweight division, which features Josh Burkman, Jon Fitch, Gerald Harris, Jorge Santiago, Aaron Simpson and Steve Carl.
